Disney World Vacation

THE HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH!

I had dreamed about going to Disney World since I was in 5th grade and did a state report on FL. Jeff just flat out loves Disney--he has all the movies.

We really enjoyed the trip! Here's us at the Magic Kingdom...

We took the ferry over the Monorail (for you Californian's, you have to cross the lake by ferry or Monorail to get to the park. Totally rad on the way in, a nighmare on the way out after the fireworks with thousands of others funneling in!).

And then there's Epcot. We had fun; but they should consider changing the name from Futureland to something a little more appropriate (Land 'o Yesteryear).

Just a little griping (would it be a vacation without it?): The people were a bit off, not the tyical disney-type. More the science nerd type, which I suppose is fitting for Epcot, just not enjoyable to inteact with! We did come across one "protein spill" on the Mission Space ride, which they handled well. The others were just a bit too dry for me (come on Disney, this is "the happiest place on earth", why don't your employees think so?). :)

All in all, Disney was great. But in recommending it to someone: stay all day at Magic Kingdom, avoid Epcot (half day if you must, and stay off the rides and stick to the countries), don't miss Downtown Disney and Disney Quest (the best arcade ever!--we built our own Space Mountain roller coster, and the got to ride it in a simulator!).
